Microchipping is a permanent form of identification that won’t fade or be hard to track like a tattoo. Microchips are the size of a grain of rice and are injected with a needle (similar to a vaccine) under the skin between the shoulder blades. One in three pets will go missing at some point in their life and pets with microchipping are much more likely to be reunited with their owners! All of our microchips come with a lifetime registration, which links your pet’s ID with your contact information and emergency contacts to reunite you with your pet as quickly as possible. Microchips are also a requirement for travelling internationally.

Not sure if your pet already has a microchip? Come on in and we will scan them for you! Found a lost/stray animal? Call us and bring the animal to us to scan for a microchip, or call the Quinte Humane Society at: 613-968-4673

If you ever move simply update the database with your new contact information.
