Dr. Angela Doxsee, Veterinarian

Dr. Angela Doxsee is a country girl at heart, having grown up on a local dairy farm.  Interest in veterinary medicine began at a young age on the farm. She worked as kennel staff at a mixed animal practice in high-school and was thrilled to be accepted to the Ontario Veterinary College in 2002.  Angela loves to craft and explore nature, so in her spare time she volunteers with Girl Guides of Canada.   Family is number one- she loves to  hangout with her husband and children as well as the family pets.  Currently, she has a high energy standard poodle, Marshall, an aloof, lazy cat, Leo and a leopard gecko named Thor.  At work, she enjoys the family feeling with staff and loves to get to know her pet owners and their pets.

Do you have any animals?
Yes! We have a standard poodle, Marshall, he is 8 and I’ve had him since he was a puppy. We got a puppy and had a baby in the same year, so they’ve grown up together. We also have a cat, Leo, who is quite shy.

What is your favourite part of working at Loyalist Vet?
I love the family-feel of the hospital and how we work as a team. I also genuinely love what I do.
